A different springtime in the country

Never one to dwell on the negatives, we take this breathe time to explore the wonders of nature on our very own doorstep. From shrews and wild voles in the pasture; to bluebells and primroses in the hedgerows - we are never let down by spring’s wonderment.

Roads are quiet, but the farmers continue busy in their everyday lives getting the fields ready and the autumn harvest sown all around. With no planes to soar overhead, buzzards and geese provide the only aerial sounds announcing spring’s cold but welcome arrival from a long and blustery winter.

When all this blows over we look forward to new faces, new voices and the joy that sharing and being together brings . But for now we sit back, take check and be truly thankful for what we have.

Stay safe, be kind.
